The MU-MIDI9 offers a lot of features for the price: 4 channels, 16 pads, and a built-in audio interface. I found the layout intuitive, and the effects add nice flavor. The build is plastic but solid enough for home use. However, the software included is VirtualDJ, which some might not prefer. Also, the controller is quite large, so it may not be the most portable. For $299.99, it's an excellent value for beginners or mobile DJs on a budget who need multiple channels.
